Volunteer Fundraising Coordinator

Stourbridge and District RSPCA are looking for a Volunteer Fundraising Coordinator to join their busy team.

Like every other RSPCA branch in England and Wales, the Stourbridge and District Branch is a separate registered charity to the National RSPCA. We are totally self-funding, which means that all the money we spend on rescue animals within the Stourbridge area, must be raised by us in the Stourbridge area. The Branch is run by a committee of trustee's who oversee the branch activities, there are no paid members of staff within the branch; everyone works on a voluntary basis, and as such our volunteers are the backbone of the branch and without them, the branch could not function.

In recent years we have been faced with ever increasing costs of looking after the animals in our care, and last year we spent in excess of £11k on vets bills alone, that's even before we start on the day to day living expenses of the animals waiting to find new homes. So in short we need help! We are looking for someone who has plenty of free time on their hands, has a love for animals and the drive, enthusiasm and initiative to be able to come up with fundraising ideas and see them through to fruition. You will of course have the support of the other branch members but we are looking for you to be the driving force in being able to make things happen.

We do need to stress this is on a voluntary basis, and is not a paid position (although basic expenses would be covered), but if you would like to do something really rewarding and really make a difference to the welfare of the animals in your local area, then please do contact us to discuss further.
